In his time Oruma was part and Captain of the Nigeria under-17 team which won the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Championships.
As a midfielder he was the tournamentโs top goalscorer with 6 goals and his compatriot Nwankwo Kanu the second highest scorer.๐
He played 19 times international matches over 11 years for Nigeria.๐ช๐ฟ
He was also part of the team that participated in the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
He also won Gold ๐ with the Dream team in Summer Olympics of 1996 in Atlanta Georgia, USA.
Due to his dedications he was a member of the Nigerian squad at the 2002 and 2006 Africa Cup of Nations, finishing both competitions at third place winning Bronze ๐ .
Unfortunately, in 2018, Oruma suffered emotional disorder as a result of how he was reportedly duped by an unknown pastor and oil businessman.๐ฐ
It was learnt that Oruma eventually lost a whopping sum, close to N2 billion to an investment.๐ณ
