Amusan is Africa’s best, rated fifth in the world

Oluwatobiloba Amusan has been named the best women’s athlete in Africa and fifth best in the globe by the World Athletics.

Amusan shot to international prominence following her impressive performances at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon, United States of America.

The 24-year-old claimed gold medal in the 100m hurdles and also set a new world record of 12.22s.

The Ogun State born athlete also successfully defended her Diamond League title and and won gold medal in the 100m hurdles at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham City.

Jamaica’s track queen, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce occupy first position on the ranking table.

Her compatriot, Shericka Jackson is second, with Yulimar Rojas and Sydney McLaughlin in third and fourth positions respectively.
