Alex Iwobi has called on his Everton teammates to show more consistency as they continue the fight against relegation this season.
The Toffees were thrashed 4-1 by Brighton & Hove Albion at Goodison Park on Tuesday night.
The Merseysiders held defending champions, Manchester City to a 1-1 draw in their previous game but were below par against the Seagulls.
The defeat piled more pressure on manager Frank Lampard with Everton still hovering around the relegation zone.
Iwobi though exuded confidence they can still turn things around but insisted they must be more consistent.
“I don’t think confidence is the issue,” Iwobi told Liverpool Echo.
“We showed how we can play vs Manchester City. We can’t be one minute good one minute bad, we’ve got to be consistent.
“The way we discussed in the changing room now we all want to fix it. I’m confident we can get ourselves out of this.”
Iwobi has made 18 league appearances for Everton this season with one goal and five assists to his name.
