Feb polls: Engineer Sule vows to deliver Tinubu, all other APC candidates

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has vowed to deliver the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, as well as all other candidates of the party during next month’s general elections.

Engineer Sule stated this while flagging off the campaign of the party’s senatorial candidate for Nasarawa West, Architect Shehu Tukur, in Kokona, on Saturday.

The Governor emphasized that, APC Northern governors will use their resources to ensure that Tinubu emerge president of the country, stressing that, if there is anybody that wants Tinubu to become president, it’s the APC Northerrn governors.

While noting that, it’s only God who gives power to whom He wills and at the appointed time, Engineer Sule said he is prepared to face any form of opposition.

“Only God can stop Tinubu and A. A Sule from becoming president and governor respectively. We are determined to commit our resources and strength to conquer any form of opposition,” he assured.

The Governor therefore, called on the people to ensure they vote for candidates of the APC from top to bottom.

“Our goal is to return Tinubu, our three senators, five house of representatives and 24 state assembly members as elected,” he said.

The Governor again, dismissed insinuations in the media suggesting that, 11 APC governors are secretly holding meetings with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

“These are blatant lies. The APC Northerrn governors stood firm for Tinubu to emerge, they will do anything to make him president. Disregard any of such lies emanating from people who are seeking favours from Tinubu,” he stated.

Engineer Sule stressed that he will not be shaken by any form of opposition, adding that he is prepared to confront any challenge ahead of the forthcoming elections.

In his address, National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, called on the people to vote for all the candidates of the party from top to bottom.

According to Senator Adamu, it will not augur well for Tinubu and Engineer Sule to emerge president and governor respectively but to have members of the opposition as members of the national and state assemblies.

The former Senator used the opportunity of the event to unfold his successor, in the person of Architect Shehu Tukur, the APC flagbearer for Nasarawa West senatorial district.

In a welcome address, state Chairman of the APC, Chief John Mamman, dismissed indinuations from the opposition that the ruling APC has not achieved anything in its four years of stewardship.

Also speaking, Minister for Environment, Barrister Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi, cautioned against divided loyalty, urging the people to vote only for the candidates of the APC.

Chief Mamman said even the deaf, dumb and blind could attest to the giant strides recorded by the Engineer Sule administration in the state, except those who are deliberately refusing to acknowledge these feats.

“There are however those, who though they have eyes and ears, yet they cannot see or hear. If not, how could someone pass across the newly constructed Antau bridge in Keffi and still stand before the people and say Engineer Sule has done nothing?

“Is it not true that the Engineer Sule administration constructed the road to their villages?” the APC Chairman said.

Speaking on behalf of women, Hajiya Hasiya Ahmed, Secretary, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, lauded the Engineer Sule administration, for its strides in the area of women and youth empowerment.

She called on women and youths to ensure they vote candidates of the APC during the coming election.

Earlier, Engineer Sule paid homage at the palace of the Abaga Toni, HRH Mr. Lawrence Sylvester Ayih in Garaku.
