Masari declares Thursday, Friday work-free as Buhari visits Katsina

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has declared Thursday, 26 and Friday, 27 January 2023 as work-free days ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the state.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Culture and Home Affairs, Sani Bala Kabomo, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the state government gave the holiday to enable public servants across the state to participate in giving President Buhari a befitting welcome as he commissions projects executed by the administration of Governor Masari.

A source confirmed that President Buhari is due to commission a multi-billion naira underpass and overhead bridge constructed in the state capital.

Other projects lined up for commissioning include the newly-built headquarters of the Katsina State Internal Revenue Board and the rehabilitated Katsina State Water Board in the state capital as well as the Darma Rice Processing Company.
