I Skipped School To Watch Beyoncé Perform -Lizzo

American singer, Lizzo, has opened up about how the record-breaking 32nd Grammy Award winner, Beyoncé, influenced her life.

She made this known while receiving her award at 65th Grammy award in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday.

Lizzo has won the 2023 Grammy Award for Record of the Year for her single ‘About Damn Time’.

The singer recounted how she skipped school to watch Beyoncé perform saying, “ Beyoncé, in the 5th grade I skipped school to see you perform. You changed my life. The way you made me feel, I was like, I want to wanna make people feel this way with my music. So thank you so much. You clearly are the artist of our lives. I love you. God Bless you.”
