He’s mistake-prone – Agbonlahor slams Arsenal star

Former Aston Villa attacker Gabriel Agbonlahor has hit out at Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes after the Gunners fell 3-1 to title rivals Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday.

It was the Gunners’ first home defeat in the Premier League this season with goals from Kevin de Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland bringing Pep Guardiola’s side back to the top of the table.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor slammed Gabriel over Arsenal’s defensive mistakes, which the Cityzens capitalised upon to punish Mikel Arteta’s men.

“A lot of mistakes from Arsenal. The first one [Takehiro] Tomiyasu happened. Grealish is pressing him, and he does not see Kevin De Bruyne running through. It is Gabriel for me, though, every time you watch him, he is the one you always think has a mistake in him.”

The former Premier League star further blamed the Brazilian for the penalty against Haaland which Arsenal were lucky the VAR overturned because the Norwegian was offside, and the goal that Haaland later scored, adding: “It is just poor defending all round from him, giving the ball away at times where you shouldn’t be.”
