The CAF Confederation Cup Group B matchday four encounter between Nigerian champions, Rivers United and DC Motema Pembe of Democratic Republic of Congo will now be played on Thursday (today).
The game will be played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The match was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday but was postponed due to the late arrival of the Congolese.
Rivers United confirmed the game will be played today via a statement on their Twitter handle
“Rivers United vs Motema Pembe tie to be played on Thursday 9th March 2023,” reads the statement.
The Pride of Rivers defeated DC Motema Pembe 1-0 on matchday three.
Stanley Eguma’s side are second in Group B with six points from three matches, a point behind leaders ASEC Mimosas from Cote d’Ivoire who have played a game more.
Motema Pembe are bottom of the standings on two points.
