Facts about Benue Guber Poll: What Governor Samuel Ortom must know

By Aare Abiodun Oluwarotimi, De Oracular Oracle

Apart from massive rigging and thumbprinting of ballot papers in areas where INEC machines failed or where they were deliberately sabotaged, another thing to mention is that 70% of Governor Samuel Ortom’s appointees betrayed him and worked against the governorship candidate of the PDP, Rt. Hon Titus Uba.

Some aggrieved governorship aspirants of the party too played some dangerous games and roles to get at the governor.

It didn’t start on the election day. Some of them started planning with some chieftains of the APC the moment Bola Ahmed Tinubu was announced as the president-elect. There reason was that they want to belong to where power lies.

These people were planning together with the governor in the afternoons and still went to do other things with Alia at nights. We can begin to mention them if there is need.

Those who left the PDP and the governor’s administration weeks and days before the election paved ways for the appointees and the aggrieved governorship aspirants we are talking about to be able to do their things freely with Alia at nights. They revealed all the party’s strategies to the enemies. Too bad!

Reports have it that some of the governor’s appointees and few of the aggrieved governorship aspirants were seen releasing money to voters to vote against Titus Uba at their respective polling units. This is not just a rumour but a fact. God is watching. I was in some local government areas of the state from Thursday and Saturday night with an election monitoring team, and I saw and heard more than enough.

As for the riggings and manipulations that took place in several local government areas of Benue state and also the places where INEC machines failed or deliberately sabotaged, one thing is clear and it is that Titus Uba may be able to reclaim his mandate in court if he can use the right people because the whole election didn’t reflect the will of the people.

To cap it all, Governor Samuel Ortom was betrayed by the people he empowered and trusted.
