Author of award-winning and best-selling novels, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on Friday disvosed that she has published her first children book, ‘Mama’s Sleeping Scarf’.
The writer made this known on her Instagram page with the caption, “So delighted to announce that I’ve written my first children’s book, Mama’s Sleeping Scarf.
“It is a celebration of the joy in ordinary family life. The illustrations by the immensely taletented #joelle_avelino are so beautiful, so apt. It will be published by #harpercollinsch (UK) and #aaknopf (US) on 5th September.”
In the video she posted, she said, “This is my first children book, and its called Mama’s Sleeping Scarf and it is about how delightful ordinary everyday things can be and it also happens to be based on a day in the life of my daughter.”
