Hollywood fast rising star, Jonathan Majors, have revealed that witness testimony and video evidence will prove his innocence following accusations of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend.
According to TMZ, the Attorney for the 33-year-old actor, Priya Chaudhry, says that testimony, video and text evidence in the case shows that his ex-girlfriend was not being truthful in her statement to police.
The actor’s attorney who filed papers in NYC on Wednesday said there are evidence clearing Majors, including ‘video footage from the vehicle where the episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting the allegations.’
Majors was arrested in New York on March 25 in connection with assault, harassment and strangulation.
A representative for Majors denied any wrongdoing by the actor.
The representative in an email to the AP said ‘He has done nothing wrong, we look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.’
The U.S. Army also suspended its TV ad campaign featuring Majors which intended to target younger audiences.
The Army Enterprise Marketing Office said in a statement said that the U.S. Army is ‘deeply concerned by the allegations surrounding his arrest.
The office in a statement said ‘While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete,”.
