126 Nigerian Evacuees From Sudan Arrive In Abuja

One hundred and twenty-six Nigerians, who were evacuated from war-torn Sudan, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday.

The commission made this known via its Twitter handle on Wednesday.

According to the commission, the 126 make up the tenth batch of evacuees to arrive in Nigeria, bringing the total number of evacuees to 1,856 so far.

The commission tweeted, “EVACUATION UPDATE: (10th Batch of Evacuation:) The 10th batch of Evacuees: 126 Nationals that departed Port Sudan International Airport, landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 10 pm local time on May 9 via Tarco Air.

“Making a total of 1,856 evacuees so far. No Nigerian life has been lost so far. #StaySafe.”
