Brig-Gen. Akpaumontia Takes Over HQ 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army, in Kogi

Brigadier General Isang Akpaumontia has taken over as the new Commander of the HQ 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army (NA) Command, Lokoja, Kogi State.

Brig.-Gen. Akpaumontia took over from Brigadier General Nsikak Edet, pioneer Commander of the Brigade who has been redeployed to HQ 9 Brigade, Ikeja, Lagos.

Speaking at the Handing Over and taking over ceremony, the outgoing Commander, Brigadier General Nsikak Edet, thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen. Farouk Yahaya for appointing him the pioneer Commander of HQ 12 Brigade.

He said that with the appointment, the COAS saddled him with the rare privilege of setting up the new Brigade.

Edet thanked all the officers and soldiers of the Brigade for the total support, loyalty and cooperation he enjoyed during his tour of duty in the Command.

He stated that every success recorded by the Command under his leadership was a collective one and urged the Officers and Men to accord same level of support and cooperation to the new Commander.

Also speaking, the new Commander, Brig.-General Isang Akpaumontia, solicited same level of cooperation given to his predecessor be extended to him to enable him sustain and enhance development in the new Brigade.

Until his appointment as the second Commander of HQ 12 Brigade, Lokoja, Akpaumo,ntia, was the Commander HQ 9 Brigade, Ikeja, Lagos.
