A Kenyan lady, Imelda Kigunda, has been charged with unlawfully damaging a car belonging to her lover, Vincent Alata, because he cheated on her.
Kigunda was said to have damaged the car by hitting the windscreen, and his television.
According to the a Kenyan news outlet, The Star, on Wednesday, the suspect was charged before a court where she denied the charges.
According to testimony given in court, she broke the law on January 18, 2023, at Gemini Club in the county of Nairobi.
Court papers showed that the two had heated arguments over some cheating allegations which led to the said offence.
In court, the accused person through her lawyer, Brian Mwenda, pleaded with the court for a lenient bond term release.
Mwenda told the court that her client was a law-abiding citizen and was not a flight risk.
He told the court to supply her with all the documentary evidence that the prosecutions intended to rely on during the entire trial.
The magistrate directed that the accused person be released on Sh100,000 bond or an alternative cash bail of Sh50,000.
