AFRIMEK Suspends Actor Papa Show For Assaulting Colleague, Temidayo Morakinyo

Nollywood actor Olamilekan Shoneye, popularly known as Papa Show, has been suspended from an actors’ group, African Men Entertainment Kings, for physically assaulting his female junior colleague, Temidayo Morakinyo.

This comes hours after the actress called out the actor for assaulting her while on a movie set in Ibadan on Thursday.

The actress showed off her bleeding lips in a video she shared from a movie set in Ibadan, Oyo state, and accused Shoneye of punching her in the face after she reported his excesses to her boss on Thursday, May 18.

Reacting to this in a letter shared on AFRIMEK’s Instagram handle on Friday, the club said that the actor has been sanctioned and placed on indefinite suspension.

The letter read, “Dear Temidayo, we received news of the mental, emotional, and physical abuse meted out on you by a member of our club, Mr Olamilekan Shoneye, popularly known as “show”.

“His actions do not represent the identity for which our club stands for and been known to project. He has been immediately sanctioned and placed on indefinite suspension, while further investigations by our disciplinary committee are ongoing to unravel the entire fact of the unfortunate incident.

“We would also like to extend our sincere apology to you. No one deserves such a treatment. We will equally take up the medical charges to restore you back to good health. Our gesture is to show how apologetic we are as a body.”
