GPMI applaud Tinubu on meeting with security chiefs

  • Calls for extension of tenure

The Global Peace Movement International, UK has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for changing security chiefs to chat a new path way to fight terrorism in the country.

President General of the group Dr. Mike Uyi stated this on Saturday in an interview with newsmen at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Uyi noted that the meeting with the heads of security and intelligent agencies clearly shows that he is ready to for prioritising security
.
“President Tinubu’s meeting with the security chiefs is a steps towards a safer and prosperous Nigeria. It is also shows his level of patriotism, commitment to revive security and other aspects of the nation”.

“President Tinubu has made it clear during his campaign that he will give security topmost attention if elected. And indeed, he has kept his word and has given a new sense of direction to the leadership of the country”.

Uyi commended the security chiefs and other sister agencies who have made sacrifices to ensure that the country remains unified no to relent in their constitutional duties and be more professional in discharging their duties.

“GPMI believe that with the level of patriotism, commitment, and clarity of purpose displayed so far by our security chiefs and other sister agencies, we know that in no time, we shall have a save country again”.

“In the light of the feats mostly recorded by various service chiefs, we further deem it wise to urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider extending the tenure of those chiefs so that they can continue to implement their new tactics in dealing with the insurgents, bandits and kidnappers,” the Uyi said.
