Veteran Nollywood actress, Magaret Bandele Olayinka, better known as Iya Gbonkan, has received almost N5 million in donations for her car and housing project.
This comes after a cleric, Prophet Gabriel Agbala, heeded her call for help to complete her house and buy a car.
The actress had earlier gone viral on social media when she made a public call for support to complete her old house and get a car.
Heeding her call, Gabriel had taken to his Facebook live on Tuesday to solicit funds from kindhearted individuals around the globe.
Giving an update on the donation so far, Gabriel wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday, “N4.1MILLION NAIRA for IYA GBONKAN HOUSE. 650 thousand naira for MAMA ABENI AGBON. 650 thousand naira for MAMA TAMOTIYE.
500k on the ground for MAMA GBONKAN’S CAR, WORK HAS STARTED ALREADY, OSHOGBO. WE ARE COMING BY FRIDAY NEXT WEEK.”
Appreciating everyone for their financial support in Yoruba, Iya Gbonkan said: “I’m thankful and I don’t have power, you are my backbone, you will not get tired.
“My matter will not get you tired and you will not be indebted for the good thing you are doing to me.
“In the name of God, you will have enough to spend. You will not have pain and in the name of God, you will not go blind.”
