Federal High Court in Abuja has granted DCP Abba Kyari Bail

The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari, who is facing charges related to drug trafficking.

The court’s decision came after a bail application was filed by Kyari’s legal team.

DCP Abba Kyari, a highly regarded officer in the Nigeria Police Force, had been implicated in a case involving alleged links to a notorious fraudster, Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi.

Kyari was accused of receiving bribes from Abbas in exchange for facilitating the arrest and detention of a rival gang member.

During the court proceedings, Kyari’s legal team argued for his bail, emphasizing his previous track record of service and his willingness to cooperate with the investigation.

The defense also presented evidence to demonstrate that Kyari had no intentions of evading justice or interfering with the case.

After careful consideration of the arguments presented, the Federal High Court granted bail to DCP Abba Kyari, imposing certain conditions to ensure his compliance with the ongoing investigation.
