line with the Federal government mandate to clean up the oil spillage in Ogoni land and Niger Delta as a whole, the Chief Executive of Welltime, Dike Chigbue,MON, has said that they are in collaboration with the federal government of Nigeria to remediation of Ogoni land.
Chigbue in a statement on Friday in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State while flagging of the compensation of indigenes affected by the project stated that the partnership will further reassure Nigerians in that region of the Federal Government’s commitment to a comprehensive remediation of the polluted areas of Ogoniland and the restoration of livelihood to the affected communities, in line with the United Nations Environmental Assessment Report.
According to him, the Ogoni clean-up is a signature project and one that ushers in the use of the latest and most high-tech equipment..
He said “We are delighted to partner with the Federal government to ensure that we return our polluted land and water ways to its natural state so that our people can go back to their homes and earn a sustainable live hood.
“We also urge our host communities to collaborate and cooperate with us to achieve this collective objective as we assure them of timely and quality delivery of this project, which is what Welltime stands for.
