Rehabilitation work begins on govt. science school in Andaha next week

Rehabilitation work will next week commence at the Government Science Secondary School, Andaha, with the project divided into phases, beginning with the construction of brand new science laboratory, as well as one male and one female hostels.

This was made known when Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, undertook an on-the-spot assessment of the school in Andaha, Akwanga Local Government Area, on Saturday.

The rehabilitation work would also see the construction of a perimeter fence around the two new hostels to be erected and the election of a new block of classrooms with offices.

The GSSS Andaha rehabilitation project, is in line with similar initiatives across the state, which saw public schools like the Government Science School Lafia, Government Girls Science Secondary School Garaku and others wear new looks.

Meanwhile, the Governor has directed the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr Mohammed Sani Bala, to liaise with the management of the Directorate of Rural Roads, with a view to grading the road leading to the school to allow for easy access.

Engineer Sule was accompanied on the visit by Hon. Larry Ven Bawa, member representing Akwanga North at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Executive Chairman, Akwanga Local Government Area, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha, and Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Yakubu Kwanta, among other top government functionaries.
