I don’t know how you measure competence and achievements but all that is clear to everyone is that Governor Hyacinth Alia has failed woefully in the area of SECURITY OF HUMAN LIVES AND THEIR PROPERTIES.
No day passes that FULANI HERDSMEN wont spill blood of innocent people in Benue state. This is unlike the time of Chief Samuel Ortom PhD when he did make sure that the killers were prevented from having free access to the state.
When the former governor was shouting on top of his voice then, some people kept saying something else. Now, the state is suffering so much in the hands of their enemies whom Chief Samuel Ortom was trying to stop from having free access.
Ortom was insulted. He was persecuted. He was lied against. He was prevented from having access to former President Muhammadu Buhari. All the loans he applied for in order to develop the state were blocked. At a point, several cases were instituted against his administration so the state government’s bank accounts could be garnished. Each time a court ruled, all you would see on the internet from APC media handlers was “Garnishee Order” Too bad.
In Benue of today, FULANI HERDSMEN are now grazing openly and killing in almost all the streets and farms in the North Central state with no one to check them. The governor too lacks the courage to challenge them from their illegal grazing in the state.
Who will save Benue state?
