Kogi Guber:Natasha’s victory in court of appeals ignites new hope for PDP – Austin Okai

As the Kogi state governorship election scheduled for November 11 approaches, Comr. Usman Okai Austin, the former candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, expresses optimism and sees Senator Natasha Akpoti’s triumph in the Court of Appeals as a source of renewed hope for the PDP.

Okai also extends his congratulations to Senator Natasha Akpoti, the Senator-Elect for Kogi Central, on her successful outcome in the Court of Appeals.

Recall that the Court of Appeal in Abuja recently upheld Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as the winner of the Kogi Central senatorial district election, overturning the earlier declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was the winner of the February 25 election.

Speaking to reporters in Lokoja shortly after this victory, Okai pointed out that Natasha’s success not only brings joy to the PDP camp but also rekindles the hopes of its supporters and members across Kogi State.

“I believe that this triumph marks a turning point for the party, fueling enthusiasm and dedication to secure victory in the upcoming governorship election.”

Okai went on to commend the justice dispensed by the Appeal Court, emphasizing the importance of a fair and impartial legal process in upholding democracy.

He also expressed unwavering optimism for the future of the PDP, indicating that brighter days are on the horizon for the party.

“As the November 11th election draws nearer, the PDP and its supporters find themselves more energized and determined than ever.

“Senator Natasha Akpoti’s victory at the Appeal Court serves as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for their collective aspiration to emerge victorious in the forthcoming governorship election.

“With the support of dedicated individuals in the party, the PDP in Kogi State is poised to face the challenges ahead with renewed vigor and determination,” he said.
