Omo-Agege Loses as S’Court Upholds Oborevwori’s Victory

Information reaching the OsunReporters News has it that the Supreme Court has upheld the victory of Sheriff Oborevwori at the 2023 governorship election in Delta State.

The apex court upheld recorded by the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate ahead of his major opposition, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

….Delivering judgment on Friday, the apex court said the appeal lacked merit and the appellant was unable to discharge the burden of proof placed on him.

Oborevwori secured victory in the March 18, 2023 election after winning won 21 local government areas in the state ahead of Omo-Agege, who secured victory in four LGAs.

The ruling by the apex court follows that of both the Tribunal and the Appeal Court, which all favoured Oborevwori and the PDP.
