The Pan Yoruba Socio-cultural group has removed Chief Ayo Adebanjo as the Acting Leader of the organisation.
Adebanjo was removed during the monthly meeting of Afenifere held on Wednesday at the Akure , Ondo State residence of its Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
The removal of Adebanjo followed a motion moved by Professor Samuel Ibikunle and seconded by another member.
This followed the recommendation of Afenifere elders’ forum.
Spokesman of Afenifere, Jare Ajayi told journalists at the end of the meeting that Adebanjo was removed to ensure unity and address polarisation.
