Ex- Governor Yahaya Bello; Architect of Modern Kogi State

The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has been described as the architect of modern Kogi state, due to his unprecedented achievements that cut across the three senatorial districts of the state.

The National President of one of the most outstanding clubs in Nigeria, De-Greater Height Front (DE-GHF), Alhaji Ibrahim Isa-Amoka, made the statement at the end of the year anniversary celebrations of the club, held at the NNPC Guest House in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

He emphasized that apart from Bello’s water tight security architecture, which surpasses his counterparts in the country, Governor Bello made his indelible marks in the areas of good roads, first class Health facilities, education, youth and Women empowerment, promotion and enhancement of traditional institutions and above all entrenchment of peace and stability across the state.

Alhaji Isa-Amoka, a former clerk of the Kogi state House of Assembly, also Commended Governor Bello for assisting in the conduct of a free, Fair and acceptable election that ushered in the new Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

He congratulated the new Governor of the state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his election and urged him not to only emulate his predecessor in terms of infrastructural development, but to surpase him and put the state on the path leading to the promised land as envisaged by his predesessor.

Alhaji Isa-Amoka prayed to God to give Ododo the Solomonic wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state to the admiration of his predesessor, the state and the nation at large.

Alhaji Ibrahim Isa-Amoka, a one time state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), also congratulated the newly installed Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammed-Tihaji Anaje and Urged the respected traditional ruler to use his new office as a good ambassador of his people by showcasing the most cherished enviable culture and traditional phenomenon of Anebira as a tribe in Nigeria.

The patron of the club, Elder Henry Onimisi – Smith who is a retired Permanent Secretary, commended members of the club for propagating good ideals of the club and making it a pacesetter in the commity of clubs in the country.
