KSM Abuja Metro Exco Visits Inferno Victim, Lady Rhoda Effiong

Officers of the Order of Knights of Saint Mulumba (KSM) Nigeria, Abuja Metro Council, visited its own, Lady Rhoda Effiong of Gwagwalada Sub-Council whose house was burnt down on Tuesday March 5, 2024.

The widow’s house situated at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada, was raised down by an inferno where no single item was salvaged.

The Knights of St. Mulumba, as part of it’s cardinal objective of fostering love among it’s members took a step of solidarity to support their sister in need.

The WMGK, the Metro President, KSM/LSM Metro Officers and some selected GKs and SC Presidents in company of Gwagwalada SC executives were among those in the entourage.

The WMGK represented by the Worthy Metro Secretary, Sir Simon Ugbe who was assisted by the Metro President, Lady Agnes Eneji presented a cheque of One Million (N1,000,000.) Naira to Lady Rhoda on behalf of all those who made contributions.

Sir Ugbe thanked the Management of the Specialist hospital, the employer of Lady Rhoda especially the Chief Medical Director and Director of Admin who graciously received the Metro delegation in audience and promised to also assist Sister Rhoda just as the honoured Order of the KSM has done.

Responding, Sister Rhoda expressed her gratitude to God for sparing her life and the KSM for their show of love and solidarity who on daily basis were throwing into her temporary house one after the other since the incident , a situation which made her neighbours and the Hospital community be asking her who are these kind and nice people who are just giving you cash and items like this.

Sister Rhoda then stated that initially she discouraged her late husband from joining the Order but later on she grew up in the Order to experience love, solidarity and Spiritual growth including Material benefits .

In conclusion she informed the delegation that the show of commitment and good will has even encouraged her community to ask of criteria of joining the Order.
