Sometimes I need to scream at him – Gabriel Magalhaes on Arsenal teammate

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes has hailed his partnership with fellow centre-back William Saliba.

Gabriel admits that Saliba has sometimes made him scream swear words during games but their relationship has helped transform Arsenal into title contenders under manager Mikel Arteta this season .

Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League table with 10 matches remaining, and Gabriel and Saliba’s strong communication on the pitch has been a key factor in their success.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s match against Manchester City on March 31, the Brazilian explains that he and Saliba speak the same language and are good friends who understand each other well.

“We speak the same language,” Gabriel told Stadium Astro.

“I am Brazilian but I speak French.

“On the pitch, the communication is very important. We are good friends and sometimes I need to say, ‘Ah Saliba! F*** sake!’ – he will say it to me as well.

“It’s good for us. He understands me and I understand him.”
