Teamwork key to Bayelsa United’s draw against Lobi Stars

Bayelsa United forward, Kehinde Malik believes that teamwork was key to his team’s 1-1 away draw against Lobi Stars.

Malik admitted that the game against the Pride of Benue wasn’t easy.

He said the team will build on the performance to move out of the relegation zone.

Malik scored the equalising goal for Bayelsa United after Chinedu Sunday had put Lobi Stars in front in the game.

“I’m very excited for our away draw against Lobi Stars as you know it’s not to come from behind it’s not easy at all, I am very happy for the game,” he said in a post-match interview.

“I thank the coaches and teammates because if it was not for teamwork it wouldn’t have been possible.

“For our next game, we expect nothing less than three points so we can leave the red line.”

Bayelsa United are 17th on the table with 31 points from 27 games.
