President General, Global Peace Movement International, UK Dr. Mike Uyi has urge Nigerian aviation minister, Festus Keyamo to as a matter of urgency pronounce Air Peace a National Flag Carrier.

Uyi made the statement on Sunday in London while greeting Nigerians on Easter celebration noting that Air Peace advancement with permission to fly to Gatwick would bring Nigeria into competition with the British Airways on the BASA Routes.

According to him, such a move would enable Nigeria to partake in the forex earnings from the commercial aviation services, thereby causing a reduction in the quantity of forex repatriation from Nigeria to the UK.

Uyi added that a national carrier is crucial for Nigeria’s development and the country’s growth, as Nigerians are highly travelled and seek affordable airlines for various purposes and Air Peace is the answer.

On Easter celebration, Uyi urged Nigerians not be discouraged or embrace any form of hopelessness in spite the challenges in the country.

He expressed optimism that Nigeria would emerge stronger from the current economic and security challenges.

He said that the situation of Nigeria was redeemable and the signs were beginning to manifest.
