Three key players missing in Man City’s squad for Aston Villa clash

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that three key players, Ederson, Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake will not be part of his team’s squad to face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Guardiola spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of the game at the Etihad Stadium.

The Cityzens head to the game after playing a goalless draw in their last Premier League tie against Arsenal on Sunday.

Man City currently sit in the third position in the Premier League table with three points behind leaders Liverpool.

Providing an update on Ederson, Walker and John Stones, Guardiola said (via the club’s X account):

“I don’t think so (any of them will be fit). John (Stones), maybe. The other two no chance.”

On Ake, the Spainaird added, “He is injured… Hopefully, he will be back soon. I don’t know exactly the timing. Next games he won’t be ready.”
