UK operations: Group urges Nigerians to rally support for Air Peace

*Accuses UK authorities of planning to frustrate Air Peace

Nigerians world wide have been urged to resist any form of intimidation and relegation as second class citizens especially as in concerns travels as Air Peace begins operation in London.

The President General, Global Peace Movement International, UK, Dr Mike Uyi gave this admonition on Wednesday while reacting to report of attempts by Airport Authorities in London to denigrate Air Peace and Nigerian in diaspora.

Uyi said before now, so many Nigerian airlines try to replace Nigerian Airways but because of the discrimination and economic interest, all the local airlines from Nigeria were all frustrated out of the overseas aviation industry.

Recall that a video had gone viral on social media where a Nigerian who was on the inaugural flight from Gatwick to Lagos on the Air Peace flight accused the Gatwick Airport Authorities in UK of trying to frustrate the operations of Air Peace.

Uyi said the Nigerian government must adopt the principle of reciprocity if the UK authorities continue in their high handedness.

He alleged that the plan by the UK authorities was to make Air Peace appear incompetent, saying this same tactics had been used to frustrate previous Nigerian Airline operators from flying the London route.

He said, “As Nigerians, we must see through the tactics of the UK authorities. Nigerians must rally round Air Peace and patronise them.

“We must understand that any arrangement in Gatwick that is shabby is not Air Peace arrangements but British government arrangement to make Air Peace look unserious.

“We must defeat this fake tactics and patronise Air Peace no matter the tricks they play”
