Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has given his verdict on Darwin Nunez, insisting that the striker will never be a top goal scorer.

Speaking about Nunez and his impact on Jurgen Klopp’s side, Carragher said the Uruguay international looks dangerous but will always going to miss chances in front of goal.

“Listen, when you look at Liverpool and namely Nunez, he’s not going to change what he is. He is what he is,” Carragher said on the Gary Neville podcast.

“He’s going to miss chances, look dangerous at times. But that really clinical edge of the very top players, I don’t think he’s got that and I don’t think he ever will.

“That is Mo Salah’s role in the team.”
