Ilechukwu provides reason for Rangers’ defeat against Plateau United

Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu has provided reasons for his team’s defeat to Rivers United.

Ilechukwu posited that defensive lapses cost his team a positive result from the game.

The Flying Antelopes suffered a 2-0 defeat to Rivers United in Port Harcourt.

Alex Oyowah and Deputy Echeta were on target for the home team.

“We lost and it was a bad day for us, too many errors in the defence line,” Ilechukwu stated in a post-match interview.

“They played better and deserved to win but we need to go back home and improve because all hope is not lost.

“Rivers United is a continental team and they are a big team, so you use everything to play, you don’t rest against a big team because if you do, they will punish you and that’s just what happened today.”

Rangers maintain top spot on the table despite the defeat.
