NYSC warns Corps members against indiscipline

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has cautioned Corps members nationwide against engaging in acts of indiscipline.

The NYSC Coordinator in Bauchi State, Rifkatu Yakubu, gave the warning during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘A’ stream II corps members on Tuesday.

She stated that any form of indiscipline would be met with decisive action in line with NYSC regulations.

“You must equally obey all camp officials as they are your guardians. Indiscipline is not tolerated here and I assure you that if you are law abiding you will have a very fruitful and enjoyable camping exercise.

“On our part, we pledge to do our utmost best to ensure that you experience the regimented nature of camp throughout the duration of the orientation course and the entire service year,” she said.

Speaking earlier, Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mohammed Salees, commended the corps members for their prompt reporting to the orientation camp.

He urged them to uphold patriotism and be agents of positive change throughout their service year.

The governor reiterated the state government’s commitment to supporting the NYSC while urging the corps members to serve with dedication and commitment.
