Madonna breaks record for largest concert with 1.6 million attendees

Veteran American singer, Madonna, has broken the record for the largest standalone musical concert in his history.

The 65-year-old achieved the feat with the final stop of her Celebration Tour in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

According to Live Nation, 1.6 million people attended the concert held on the famous Copacabana beach, making it the largest standalone concert by an artist.

Tickets for the show were reportedly free.

Madonna thrilled the crowd with a medley of some of her greatest hits, including ‘Nothing Really Matters,’ ‘Like a Prayer’ and ‘Vogue,’ and was joined on stage at one point by Brazilian star Anitta.
