The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in Kogi State, Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, has urged his supporters to remain resilient and united despite the tribunal’s verdict against their election petition.

In a statement, Ajaka expressed his disappointment at the outcome but praised his legal team for their professionalism and dedication. He emphasised that the fight for justice and the people’s mandate is far from over.

“This judgment will not stand the test of time. We will rise from the ashes of this defeat, stronger and more determined than ever before,” Ajaka declared.

He encouraged his supporters to stay hopeful and continue the fight for a better future for Kogi State, emphasising that their dreams and hopes are not dependent on a single election outcome.

“We will take this fight to the very end, where justice will prevail. We will reclaim our stolen mandate and restore the faith of our people in the democratic process,” Ajaka vowed.

Ajaka’s statement has been seen as a rallying cry for his supporters, who have been energized by his determination and unwavering commitment to justice and democracy.

The outcome of the tribunal’s verdict has been widely seen as a setback for the SDP and its supporters, but Ajaka’s message of resilience and hope has inspired many to continue the fight for a better future for Kogi State.
