PDP members pass vote of no confidence on Ward EXCOS

Leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ovungwu Ward 8 in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, have unanimously passed a vote of no confidence in former executive chairman of the local council area, Ifeanyi Isikaku, and members of the Ward Executive Committee for anti-party activities and negligence of duties.

They posited that the recent activities of the concerned individuals violated the Constitution of the party and warned them to desist from parading themselves as leaders and executives of Ovungwu Ward 8, and as well, stop convening illegal meetings as they are no longer PDP members in the ward.

According to a communique signed by leaders and stakeholders from Ovungwu Ward in Isiala Ngwa South LGA after an enlarged meeting of the party, a disciplinary committee had been inaugurated for further investigation into the allegations.

The disciplinary committee is to report back to the ward as soon as possible.

Chief Onyinyechi Eze and Barrister Anyanwu Anucha were appointed to serve as chairman and vice chairman of the disciplinary committee, respectively.

Other members are Barrister Udo Uwaoma and Ifeanyi Nwankpa, while Obinna Gema is to serve as the secretary.
