Vincent Kompany appointed new Bayern Munich manager

Bayern Munich have officially confirmed Vincent Kompany as their new manager.

Kompany has signed a three-year contract with the former Bundesliga champions.

He will replace Thomas Tuchel who stepped down from the role at the end of this summer.

Bayern will pay £10 million to Burnley to release Kompany from his contract.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenge at FC Bayern.

“It’s a great honour to be able to work for this club — FC Bayern is an institution in international football,” Kompany said in a statement.
