Shooting Stars technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote has urged his team to shift focus to the remaining matches in Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Ibadan warlords crashed out of the 2024 President Federation Cup following a 1-0 loss to El-Kanemi Warriors in Abuja on Wednesday.
Ogunbote charged the players to put aside the painful ouster from the competition.
“We are out there, there is nothing anybody can do about that. But I want you to put that behind you and focus on the task before us, which is the league,” he stated in his address to the players after the game.
“I want us to approach Sunday’s match against the Abia Warriors like wounded Lions, like somebody who has been insulted and bruised.
“Every game in the remaining matches means so much to us and we cannot afford to fail.”
Shooting Stars will tackle Abia Warriors in a matchday 34 fixture in Ibadan this weekend.
