England captain, Harry Kane has urged manager, Gareth Southgate to take Chelsea’s Cole Palmer to Euro 2024.

Kane spoke after Palmer scored his first England goal in the 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday.

Palmer was recently included in England’s provisional 33-man squad after a sensational first season at Chelsea, where he netted 24 goals and made 13 assists for the Blues.

Southgate will name his final 26-man Euro 2024 squad on Saturday.

Asked about Palmer’s display after England defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kane told Channel 4: “He’s had an unbelievable season.

“It’s never easy moving club, as well so for him to do what he’s done in his first season at Chelsea, it’s a credit to him.

“We’re very happy to have him, I’m delighted he got his goal there. Of course we are going to need all our players to chip in with goals throughout this tournament so the more people feeling good the better.”
