APC e-membership registration will serve as reference for political appointments

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has said the e-membership registration of the party would serve as a basis of reference for any member of the party seeking appointment at any level or desiring to contest an election.

Ganduje made this known on Wednesday in Abuja at the opening ceremony of the e-membership registration train-the-trainer workshop.

He said with the e-membership registration, the process of digitalising the party has commenced.

The chairman recalled that during his inaugural speech in August 2023, he had promised it would not be business as usual while the party would also establish a progressive institute to train members and embark on e-membership registration.

He noted that the e-membership registration of the party was to have a graphic idea of the total members of the party, their geographical spread and demographic divisions.

Ganduje stated: “Therefore today, we are gathered here by the grace of God in fulfilment and accomplishment of our promise to start the process of digitising the membership of our party.

“This is an attempt to have a graphic idea of the total members of our party, their geographical spread and demographic divisions.”

“This process will not only drive the planning, decision-making and projection process but will also serve as a basis of reference for any member of our party seeking appointment at any level or desiring to contest an election.

He stressed that the APP and Portal on which the prospective trainees from the 36 States and FCT, Abuja are expected to use would soon be reactivated so that the existing and new members can go online to register and join the party from any part of the world.

Ganduje said each person is expected to provide his or her biometric data which must tally with the details captured in the National Identity Number, NIN.
