St Augustine of Hippo Parish CMO Gets New Executives

Catholic Men Organisation (CMO) of Saint Augustine of Hippo Catholic Church, Sagbagyi, Dutse Abuja on Sunday, June 9, 2024, witnessed the change of administration, as new executives were elected.

Mrs. Blessing Abu, Parish Laity Council President of St. Augustine of Hippo who led other Executives from Kubwa denary thanked the immediate past executives led by Anopueme Ndubuisi Albert for their performance in moving the church forward through the spirit of solidarity.

“This day has been the day we have been waiting for, the outgoing executive have done their best especially on the membership of CMO. Today we can boast of good number of members and lots of developmental projects in the Church”.

“They have done excellently well and I give kudos to them. I pray that God will be with them as they continue in God’s household,” Abu said.

In his piece of advice to the new executive, Anopueme said the CMO outgoing executive has set a standard that the new executives have to maintain. Stating, “They should ensure that all men are part of CMO, it is one of the assignments given to them. CMO is one of the organs of the Catholic Church like the CWO, CYON.

“It is part of their responsibilities to ensure that members are wedded in the church, CMO takes it upon itself that members get wedded, it is not enough to have traditional wedding. CMO also sponsors training of priests.

“CMO equips men with the right knowledge to run their homes, because if your marriage is not in good shape, you might not be able to attain fulfillment.”

He however counseled the new executive to be transparent, be upright, refuse to be rigid,  come up with selfless ideas, operate open door policy, don’t allow anyone to try to manipulate and control them.

Augustine Ato, new Chairman of CMO, St. Augustine of Hippo, who thanked the organisation for their support, said he believed his emergence was divinely orchestrated.

Sharing his plan to further the organisation’s progress, he said the new administration will consolidate on the CMO’s vision and projects.

 4. Assistant General Secretary: Cletus Isek

 5. Treasurer: Augustine Monday Jock

 6. Financial Secretary: Peter Aletor

 7. PRO 1: Francis Uwua

 8. PRO 2: Vacant for now

 9. Welfare Officer 1: Emmanuel Adima

 10. Welfare Officer 2: Peter Odoh

 11. Provost 1: Nicholas Ayuba

 12. Provost 2: Clement Audu
