Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has picked France as the ‘real favourite’ to win this year’s Euros.
According to Oliseh, France are favourite because of midfielder N’Golo Kante’s return to the national team.
Kante had not played for France for two years before he was called up by manager Didier Deschamps for Les Bleus’ Euro 2024 campaign this summer.
The 33-year-old, who was a crucial part of France’s World Cup-winning side in 2018, was impressive as France defeated Austria 1-0 in their first game at Euro 2024.
Kante currently plays for Al-Ittihad after joining the Saudi Pro League side from Chelsea.
“The “Gigantic Alien of Football” is back!! what a pleasure to watch one of my favourite defensive midfielders of all times, Ngolo Kante back to International football for France yesterday,” Oliseh wrote on X on Tuesday.
“I now feel France is a real favorite to win the Euros!!”
