Arewa Youth Advocacy for Good Governance has conferred on Godwin I. Imakhai ESQ, KSM , ‘Achievers Par Excellence ‘ award.
Presenting the award in Abuja, leader of the deligation, Comrade Hassan Usman said the award is in fulfillment of its cardinal corporate social responsibilities to acknowledge and reward excellence by different players and stakeholders who in one way or the other gave their robust contributions to the growth and development of the society and the nation at large.
Hassan said Imakhai’s recognition came after a sample survey of public opinion, voting and a final decision by a 29 man jury, comprising of lawyers, journalists, and some members of the civil society.”
He further indicated that the award comes within a period of time when Barrister Godwin Imakhai, has contributed enormously to nation building as a legal practitioner.
Receiving the award, Godwin Imakhai ESQ said Nigeria’s future depends on the leadership skills and abilities of its youth stressing that the youths are the future leaders of this great nation and as such must embrace their roles and strive to make a positive impact.
He advised them to develop their skills, educate themselves and be proactive in thier communities and lead with integrity, honesty, and compassion.
“Emulate the likes of Nigeria’s founding fathers and mothers who fought for independence and worked tirelessly for the country’s progress. Be the change you want to see in Nigeria.
“Let’s work together to build a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come. Nigeria needs your energy, creativity, and innovative ideas to tackle its challenges and reach its full potentials”, Imakhai said.
Barrister Godwin Imakhai is a member of the Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria.
