Not less than 16 people were reported to have lost their lives in a road accident that occured in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The accident occured around Agbowo Expressway along the Ojoo Iwo Road in Ibadan on Tuesday.
Our correspondent gathered that four vehicles were involved in the accident.
Newsmen gathered that other people who were involved in the accident sustained various degrees of injuries.
It was learnt that victims who sustained injuries were taken to nearby hospitals.
Oyo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Rosemary Alo, confirmed the development on Tuesday.
Also in a statement made available said “Action Taken: The injured victims were taken to Amudalat hospital at Agbowo area Ibadan for medical attention while the Corpses were handed over to DTO, NPF Kajorepo and were taken to Akinyele Cemetery, Ibadan.
