Kogi Guber: Supreme Court to Deliver Judgment On SDP Appeal Today

The Supreme Court is set to deliver a highly anticipated judgment on the appeal filed by Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, candidate Social Democratic Party, SDP, today, August 23, 2024, that could have significant implications for Nigeria’s democracy and constitution.

The judgment relates to the use of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) as it concerns the November 11, 2023, Kogi governorship election.

According to a press statement released by SDP, all democracy advocates and supporters of Muritala Yakubu Ajaka are cordially invited to attend the judgment.

The statement, signed by Isaiah Davies Ijele, Director of New Media and Spokesperson for the campaign council, expressed eagerness for the public’s presence at the judgment, stating that “all democracy enthusiasts are welcome to attend.”
