Gov Mohammed presents N94.6bn supplementary budget request to Bauchi Assembly

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has submitted a request to the State House of Assembly seeking approval for a N94.676 billion supplementary budget for the 2024 fiscal year.

The Governor’s request was presented by the Majority Leader, Babayo Mohammed Akuyam, during a plenary session chaired by the Speaker, Abubakar Y. Sulaiman.

The Governor’s letter cited Section 122 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, emphasizing that the additional budget is needed to fast-track the execution of priority projects aimed at enhancing the welfare of Bauchi State’s citizens.

According to Akuyam, the Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development, human capital improvement, and advancements in the health and education sectors.
