Seedorf reveals ‘missing link’ for Arsenal despite 2-0 win over PSG

AC Milan legend, Clarence Seedorf has claimed that there is one ‘missing link’ preventing Arsenal from finding success under their manager, Mikel Arteta.

Seedorf spoke following Arsenal’s Champions League 2-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

Recall that two first half goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka gave the Gunners the victory over PSG.

Speaking after the game, Seedorf insisted that Arsenal need to tweak something to get over that fear of winning under Arteta.

“What’s that missing link to take that next step? Belief is one thing, but saying it is one thing and doing it is another,” the former Real Madrid star said on Amazon Prime.

“I believe, in the second-half, they went back too much, too early. Those are the type of things you can’t permit in the Champions League.

“Today PSG weren’t at their best but against another team you can suffer and they might score goals against you.

“I believe that Arsenal want it. Of course they have it in their belly, but two years it was right there and didn’t happen.

“So there has to be something that they need to tweak to get over that fear of winning. But I think they have the right coach. I’m sure they have learnt from the past.”
