The annual Kubwa deanery Green and white day of the Catholic fraternity came to a climax with competition of Mr and Miss CYON from the deneary.
Several parishes under Kubwa deanery participated for the epoch event. Which saw St Augustine Catholic Church,, Dutse sagbaygi female contestant Ms Grace Ebu beating other contestants to clinch the first position of the Miss Cyon of Kubwa deneary. While the parish male contestant Emmanuel Audu lost to the eventual winner from St James parish Dawaki. Becoming the first runner up.
Its no fluke that St Augustine Catholic Church Dutse parish which are termed โparish of the yearโ has been a parish to reckon with in term of active youth activities. The parish were last yearโs winners of both crown. Which is an exceptional feat for the parish.
