‘EFCC operatives invaded our live broadcast, abducted presenters’

The management of the Enugu-based radio station, Urban 94.5FM has raised an alarm on how some operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission invaded its live broadcast on Monday, 14th October.

The radio station disclosed this in a statement, noting that the incident happened at about 5:45 pm.

According to the Radio station, the EFCC operatives forcefully abducted presenters and took away communication equipment.

“Whilst we are following up with the matter, we will continue to inform our dear listeners accordingly through this medium.

“Once again we apologize for the unethical break-in into our live studio and the disruption of your favorite programs and hope that the matter will be resolved as soon as possible and for whatever the reasons”, the statement reads.

Meanwhile, when news correspondent contacted the spokesperson of EFCC, Dele Oyedele on Tuesday morning, he had yet to reply to a text message as of the time of filing this report.
